Texas Tech program struggling; attendance down

LUBBOCK, Texas — The salad days seem to be long gone at Texas Tech, where the women’s basketball team is struggling.

Fans used to pack Texas Tech’s arena to cheer on the Lady Raiders, a perennial powerhouse that brought the school its only national championship back in 1993.

The fans are fewer these days and Texas Tech is 3-7 in Big 12 play and 15-9 overall.
