Vancouver (GaeaTimes.com)- Japan’s Daisuke Takahashi is the new hope for the nation to win a medal from the Olympics Winter games 2010, after the nation got the pair figure Skating gold and silver. The Japanese participant has scored only 0.60 points below the highest scorer, Russian Yevgeny Plushenko. The other contender from Japan is Nobunari Oda, who is putting his best too.
Daisuke Takahashi’s performances was marked by spins and brilliant foot works. His interpretation of the song was different as was his moves, which were brilliantly choreographed. His performance was packed with energy from the very beginning and never slowed down till the end. He started with a triple flip triple toe combination and his skating looked uniquely innovative, like a creative art performance. Daisuke Takahashi proved that other than quad, there are many other tricks which can draw the attention of the viewers and the marks from the judges.
If Daisuke Takahashi wins the Men’s figure Skating this year, then he will be the first man from Japan to win it for his nation. The competition however is too tough as some of the best performers from the world have assembled at the ice floor. As is being said by many competitors and coaches this year, anyone can slide down from the first to the 15th or can rise up the ladder. The scores are too tight. This year, Switzerland’s Stephane Lambiel has dropped to the fifth position. Also competing this season are France’s Brian Joubert, USA’s Jeremy Abbott and Johnny Weir, Canada’s Patrick Chan, who are all in their top form and are eying the gold in the finals.
