Chris Drury Proves His Mettle

When Chris Drury was selected for the Winter Olympics 2010 on New Year’s day, lots of experts criticized his inclusion in the team. They reportedly objected the decision as Chris Drury was allegedly not in good form. Brian Burke, the United States general manager apparently said Chris Drury has been included since he has been a ‘leader’ and a ‘clutch player.’
Apart from playing ice hockey, Chris Drury is also a good baseball player. When he was young, he won the Little League Baseball World Series Championship. He is the present captain of the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League. Chris Drury is a Stanley Cup Champion and a Hobey Baker Award-winner.
In Sunday’s game, along with Chris Drury and Brian Rafalski, the 34-year-old Jamie Langenbrunner was also quite impressive. He scored a goal and helped in the victory of USA against Canada, 5-3.
Sunday’s win of the US ice hockey team against Canada, took USA to the quarterfinal. Here is another chance for Chris Drury to play well and prove himself to experts who did not want his inclusion in the 2010 Winter Olympics. The US ice hockey fans are eagerly waiting to see the team’s victory once again.
