Holcomb’s bobsled lead grows after 3rd run

WHISTLER, British Columbia — U.S. bobsledder Steve Holcomb is closer than ever to Olympic gold.

Holcomb and his USA-1 team extended their lead to 0.45 seconds over Canada’s Lyndon Rush and 0.54 seconds over Germany’s Andre Lange Saturday in the third run of the four-man bobsled competition.

The fourth run was scheduled for later Saturday.

Holcomb’s team is trying to become the first U.S. four-man crew to win Olympic gold in 62 years.
