WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- Ali Farokhmanesh, on Saturday brought to his team not only the win over Team Kansas but also made history with his win, which has devastated the number 1 seeded team of this season. The Northern Iowa player, Ali Farokhmanesh threw the ball perfectly in the basket from the three pointers and cheered as his team won with 69-67 lead over Team Kansas.

On Saturday, the ninth ranked Northern Iowa team was pitted against the number one team to enter this season of March madness. The game was filled with excitement all along as the players of Northern Iowa were in a mood to defy their position and prove their worth. However the game reached the crescendo towards the end, when the ball came to the hands of Ali Farokhmanesh to hit it hard on the basket and lead his team to victory.

Ali Farokhmanesh’s mother Cindy Fredrick, along with the team’s supporter was yelling out to Ali Farokhmanesh to create history by the deciding throw. The player did not disappoint them as he took some steps back and threw the ball hard which went into the basket without fail. He finished with 16 points and was overwhelmed with the team’s success.

On Wednesday, apart from Ali Farokhmanesh’s last few seconds of brilliant performance, the whole of the Northern Iowa team seemed determined to win the game. They have played well before also, but this time pitted against the best, their win seemed all the more glorious. The team maintained lead from the very beginning of the game and the Kansas team was trailing behind.
