Santonio Holmes Sued By Student

FLORIDA (GaeaTimes.com)- The star wide receiver of Pittsburgh Steelers, Santonio Holmes has got involved in a controversy which involves a student of Florida College. As per the case filed by Anshonoe Mills, the player injured her by throwing a glass full of alcohol at her face. The incident took place on March 7, as it has been mentioned in the complaint. The place was a night club located at Orlando. However, the player has vehemently denied the accusation and also added that he does not want to comment on the case as his lawyer is looking after it. Dave Lockett, the spokesman for Pittsburgh Steelers said that the allegation has reached the team and it is looking into the matter.
The woman has also accused the player of using Orlando police to force her to withdraw the case. Santonio Holmes has also been accused of offering her money to refrain from suing him. When the student was approached by the media for her views, she declined to speak on it and said that her lawyer, Jacques L. Cooper will address the media. Interestingly, the Orlando police has not divulged the details on the incident. Sgt. Barbara Jones, a spokesperson denied to say anything on the case as it is sub justice. However, she said that the plaintiff had given a statement to the cops.
The filing sues Santonio Holmes for committing battery, assault as well as inflicting emotional distress. The lady who has sued the player has also accused the nightclub management of failing to provide her the security she needed.
