KKR beat Deccan Chargers by 24 runs

KOLKATA - Kolkata Knight Riders beat Deccan Chargers by 24 runs in an Indian Premier League match here Thursday.

With skipper Sourav Ganguly leading from the front with a 54-ball 88, Kolkata Knight Riders made 181/6, and then restricted the visitors to 157/5 at the Eden Gardens to win their fourth game in the tournament.

For the hosts, David Hussey scored 31 off 27 deliveries, while Jaskaran Singh, Andrew Symonds and Pragyan Ojha picked up two wickets each for the Deccan Chargers.

Herschelle Gibbs (50 of 54 balls) and Andrew Symonds (45 of 37 deliveries) were the principal scorers for the Deccan Chargers.
