Da’Sean Butler Injury: Against Duke

INDIANAPOLIS (GaeaTimes.com)- Da’Sean Butler, the senior forward of the West Virginia Mountaineers suffered a knee injury during the clash against Duke on Saturday night at the Lucas Oil Stadium. However, this was not the only bad news awaiting the West Virginia team as they also lost the game to their opponents in the national semifinal game of the NCAA tournament.

The victory registered by Duke against West Virginia came as a huge disappointment to the all the fans of the team who came in large numbers to watch their favorite team clinch victory. However, there were in for a shock as they not only witnessed West Virginia suffer a defeat but also one of its key player Da’Sean Butler had to leave the game due to the knee injury. During the second half of the much awaited game, the 22 year old West Virginia senior forward unfortunately injured his knee after he drove into Duke player Brian Zoubek beneath the basket with around nine minutes remaining in the game.

All the fans of the much acclaimed player watched in dismay as Da’Sean Butler fell into the floor holding his knee visibly in a lot of pain. Although the trainer attempted to straighten his leg, that did not seem to have helped much as the senior forward was unable to give any pressure on his injured leg and had to be escorted out to the locker room. As Da’Sean Butler was being helped out, all the West Virginia fans shouted his name aloud although the player looked quite disappointed to have finished the game in such a fashion.
