Pau Gasol Helps Lakers Win

LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- There is no doubt that the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night put forward a brilliant play and would have made past the World Champion Los Angeles Lakers had not Pau Gasol went for that “0.5″ seconds shot before the game’s end. The Los Angeles Lakers won over the Oklahoma City Thunder by a margin of 95-94. As the final scores show, the game was a tough call as the Oklahoma City Thunder was in no mood to lose the game and the Los Angeles Lakers were not interested to get a scratch on their World Championship position.
Oklahoma City Thunder was in an aggressive mood from the very beginning of the game. Kobe Bryant helped the team to add up scores and showed a brilliant coordination. Just 1.8 minutes before the end of the game Kobe Bryant tried to seal the victory for the Oklahoma City Thunders by going for a 13-footer jumper, but unfortunately the ball hit the rim and went for a rebound. Pau Gasol who was close to the player, in just a flick of a second grabbed the ball and passed it through the rim getting the victory for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Pau Gasol was praised for his attempt by Kobe Bryant after the game as the later said that “Pau didn’t quit on the play”. Kobe Bryant added that Pau Gasol went on playing till the last second of the game which according to the former the latter had done many a times in the playoffs. Kobe Bryant told to media sources that last year also he had missed some shots which were then taken up by Pau Gasol without miss.
