Jeev tied 44th, Atwal 59th, Chopra misses out

IRVING - India’s Jeev Milkha Singh found three bogeys in the four-hole stretch between the 13th and 16th and then made light of the 17th hole bogey to come back with a three-under 67 that ensured he stayed on for the weekend at the Byron Nelson Golf Championship.
Jeev, who had a 72 in the first with a total of one-under 139, is tied 44th, an improvement of 56 places from his overnight 100th place.
Meanwhile, Arjun Atwal slipped with a poor finish to tied 59th from overnight 25th after returning a one-over 71 in the second round. Atwal a stroke adrift at a total of 140.
However, Daniel Chopra missed the cut with rounds of 73 and 71.
Jeev had birdies on fourth and seventh against a lone bogey on fifth in the front nine to make the turn one-under. On the back nine, he had birdies on the 13th, 15th and 16th holes before dropping a shot on the 17th hole.
Atwal found a lone birdie on fourth and then was three-under with birdies on 10th and 11th. But from 14th, where he had a double bogey, he slid further down with bogeys on 17th and 18th.
