While Serena Williams is ranked top seed in this year’s women’s list of the French Open, sister Venus Williams is at the second position. So the fans may well prepare to see a showdown between the two sisters in the finals of the game. However organizers still have their hopes pinned on Justine Henin since Serena Williams has not won the title since 2002, that year being the first and the last time she played in the finals. Venus Williams too has never crossed the fourth round in any year’s French Open title.

Most feel that it is Rafael Nadal to look out for this year although last year had been the first appearance of the tennis star on the clay courts of Paris. Rafael Nadal has been in good form for the past couple of months but will be given stiff competition from strong contender Roger Federer, feel analysts.
