PRETORIA - About 90,000 additional tickets are being made available for the public from Friday for the FIFA World Cup matches in South Africa.
FIFA said the tickets are being sold for 64 matches, including the final, the opening game between South Africa and Mexico and two semi-finals, BuaNews reported.
In total, about 160,000 tickets are still available for the public via the current sales channels: FIFA.com, call centres and ticketing centres, among others.
FIFA said 160,000 tickets are reserved for South Africans.
“There are only about 800 tickets left for the final game, but for other matches, a few thousand tickets are available,” said FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke.
