Bolder Boulder To Witness 53,000 Runners

BOULDER (GaeaTimes.com)- Bolder Boulder which happens to be one of the greatest street races of America is all set to kick off on Monday. Reportedly, it also marks the Memorial day which happens to be one of the most important days in the American calender. The Bolder Boulder 2010 is the 32nd annual race which is expected to witness more than 53,000 runners taking part in the event.

Bolder Boulder shall have Olympic Marathon runner Ryan Hall visiting the tracks before the race begins on Monday. Ryan Hall himself had been a participant in the Bolder Boulder race before he went ahead for his Olympic run at Beijing in the year of 2008. Although, Ryan Hall finished 10th in Beijing, he always dotes over his attachment with the tracks of Bolder Boulder. The runner told the media that it was Bolder Boulder which prepared him for the ultimate challenge at the Beijing Olympics.

Bolder Boulder director Cliff Bosley said that this year the race shall be a huge one as participants from different parts of the county has flocked together for the race which makes it a grand event on Memorial Day. Apart from the participants, Bolder Boulder race is also important from the point of view of the local restaurant and mall owners. As a matter of fact this is the best time of the year for them as Bolder Boulder pulls in heavy crowds for the race. When asked about it, a local business owner said that the participants and the spectators forms the majority of the crowd for them and it’s a good time for the business.
