Blue Arrow team dominates national motorcycle racing

CHENNAI - About half-dozen crashes marred the first round of the SIDVIN-FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship here over the weekend that saw Blue Arrow team completing a sweep in the two premier Super Bikes class (Group A Super Stock, up to 750cc) races as Satish Kumar and Sumit L. Toppo took the honours.
Heavy rains in the forenoon Sunday further affected the schedule that was already running late in view of the spills with the medical staff busier than ever. Fortunately, none of the riders who took the fall was seriously injured.
In the bargain, two of the scheduled races were postponed to the next round due to failing light.
The results:
