LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com)- The University of Southern California (USC) football program on Thursday will receive a major blow when the NCAA will officially announce its sanction and two year bowling ban on the team. Some reputed media sources on Wednesday came up with reports that the NCAA has decided to ban USC football team for two years from the postseason games and strip the program of around 20 scholarships. Apart from these it was also reported that the USC football will have to give away all their wins starting from the 2004 season, the season in which the investigators have found major violations. As per the media sources, the University of Southern California football program might have to follow a probation period.

The declaration of the 2 year bowling ban and the penalties for the USC football has come after four years of investigation carried out by the NCAA.

The NCAA conducted the investigation after widespread allegations poured against Reggie Bush. Some media sources claim that allegations were made that tailback Reggie Bush had received inappropriate benefits from the school during his three years tenure at the school. High end investigation was carried out not only by the NCAA but also by Pac-10 and the FBI. On February this year the NCAA infraction committee conducted a hearing of the USC officials and the reports were being expected to be announced since April.

Though the USC has not yet made any official announcement or statement in this regard, it is reportedly scheduled to go for it on Thursday after the NCAA announces its decision. The players of the USC would be told about the NCAA sanctions at a Thursday morning meeting reportedly.
