Uruguay’s Lodeiro first player to get marching order

CAPE TOWN - Nicolas Lodeiro of Uruguay was the first player to be sent off during the soccer World Cup in South Africa.

The midfielder was sent off in the 82nd minute of the Group A game for a second bookable offence.

Lodeiro came on as a substitute and only played for 16 minutes before being sent sent off for a foul on Sagna.
