New York (GaeaTimes.com) The NBA Draft has begun on Thursday June 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The first pick in the NBA Draft is John Wall selected by Washington Wizards. The second pick is 6ft 7, 210 pounds Evan Turner for Philadelphia 76ers. New Jersey Nets selected 6ft 10, 246 pounds Derrick Favors with the third pick in the NBA Draft. He averaged 12.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks.
Only 18 year old Derrick Favors is the youngest American in the draft. The rule states the players in NBA draft must be 19 years old and Favor will be 19 by the end of this calendar year. Minnesota Timberwolves selected Wesley Johnson of Syracuse. Sacramento Kings have selected 6ft 11 Kentucky forward DeMarcus Cousins. He was the fifth pick for in the NBA draft after his average of 15.1 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks.
Ekpe Udoh of Baylor is selected by Golden Gate Warriors as the sixth pick. The seventh pick in the NBA Draft is Greg Monroe selected by Detroit Pistons. 19 year old Aminu got a chance to Los Angeles Clippers as he is expected to be a good complement to Chris Kaman and Blake Griffin. Al-Farouq Aminu is the eighth pick in the NBA Draft 2010. Gordon Hayword and Paul George also got their place at the top 10 NBA Draft.
The Boston Celtics selected the 6ft 3, 180 pound Texas shooting guard Avery Bradley. He was the 19th pick in the NBA draft after an average of i11.6 points last year. He is a good outside shooter and a strong defender.
