San Francisco (GaeaTimes.com) - The NBA Draft 2010 has begun and the players for the league are selected by the thirty teams. The college basket ball players, high school players and even international players have been drafted since 2006. This year the draft is out after two rounds, 60 picks, a whole bunch of trades, several steals and a handful of head-scratching selections. Before the 2010 NBA Draft is officially announced and after the first few picks went, things became little strange. Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn were drafted back to back into the same backcourt. DeJuan Blair, Sam Young, DaJuan Summers, Chase Budinger and Patty Mills fell out of the first round. Rodrigue Beaubois and Christian Eyenga went in the first round. San Antonio once again emerged with the most impressive performance of the process. Entering another odd year, the Spurs restored their championship aspirations by adding Richard Jefferson and drafting brilliantly for instant value. Ricky Rubio, who despite slipping to No. 5, remained the most compelling story of this draft, affecting the futures thanks to the what-if game we’ll get to play with him. In the first position Blake Griffin is placed. The draft grade is separated into for categories: good, bad, mediocre and inconsequential. The good ones are San Antonio Spurs, L.A. Clippers, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Denver Nuggets etc. The grade B players are Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, Phoenix Suns. Memphis Grizzlies, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks etc are in the mediocre category. The inconsequential teams are Houston Rockets, L.A. Lakers and Boston Celtics.
