UNI Athlete Dies In Accident

COFFS HARVOUR (GaeaTimes.com)- An UNI athlete from Gladesville met with a fatal accident on Sunday. Reportedly, the UNI athlete was competing in the Eastern University Games which is now being held at Coffs Harvour.

The UNI athlete was 20 years old and has been a prominent competitor in the Eastern University Games. The cops were informed of the accident and they reached the scene soon. The cops informed the media that the UNI athlete got out of a cab on the Pacific highway at 10:00pm on Sunday night. As he paid the cab driver the fare and turned the other way, another cab ran over him causing his death. The onlookers told the police that the UNI athlete could have never imagined how the car ran over him all of a sudden, never giving him a chance to step aside from its way.

Further investigation have revealed that the car driver was a 25 year old woman who happens to be a resident of Queensland. The UNI athlete was taken over to the John Hunter hospital in Newcastle. He had serious injuries from the accident and on examining him the medicos pronounced him dead. The Organizers of 2010 Eastern University Games told that they are trying to do their best for the athlete’s family. His teammates are deeply hurt by the sudden death of the UNI athlete.Tony Jermyn who happens to be the spokesman for Eastern University games said that the incident has “deeply saddened” all fellow athletes. He also informed that the University shall be offering any kind of support to the athlete’s family in such a time of distress.
