Amare Stoudemire Goes To New York Knicks

NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- Amare Stoudemire who completed his last season with the Phoenix Suns and was a free agent this season is all set to join the team of the New York Knicks who have reportedly offered him a $99.7 million for a five year contract. The deal remains in-principle until July 8 after which the teams can sign the players. The news that Amare Stoudemire has agreed to the deal offered by the New York Knicks was confirmed by both the player and the management of the New York Knicks. The player on Monday seemed excited about his new team and said that he is looking forward to contribute to the success of his new team.
27-year-old Amare Stoudemire has to his credit the title of All-Star for five years. Last season under the Phoenix Suns the player had an average of 23.1 points and 8.9 rebounds. Amare Stoudemire played a major role in Phoenix Suns that went to the Western Conference Finals. The player who entered the free agency period this year was one of those players that were approached and wooed by the New York Knicks team. Apart from Amare Stoudemire the other players who were approached by the New York Knicks are LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
On Monday Amare Stoudemire said to media sources that he is feeling great about the fact that is going to become a part of a “beautiful organization” adding at the same time that he is “looking forward to building something special here [New York Knicks]“. The New York Knicks cannot sign Amare Stoudemire before Thursday.
