Netherlands, Uruguay tied 0-0 after 15 minutes
CAPE TOWN, South Africa — The Netherlands and Uruguay are tied 0-0 after 15 minutes of their World Cup semifinal match.
Dutch winger Dirk Kuyt had the first chance when he volleyed over the bar from 15 yards out in the fourth minute, after Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera struggled to punch clear a cross.
Kuyt also sent in a couple of dangerous crosses in the 10th minute.
But good opportunities were few on a cold and windy evening at Green Point Stadium.
Uruguay in particular appeared to be set up more defensively without the suspended Luis Suarez.
The winner meets either Germany or Spain in the World Cup final on July 11.
