LONDON - Somerset skipper Marcus Trescothick has asked critics to lay off wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter because he will bounce back for England with another superb performance.

The under-fire Somerset wicket keeper is struggling for form with the bat.

Yet Kieswetter’s county captain Trescothick reckons he will roar back, the Daily Express reports.

“He will bounce back. He has the character and he’s certainly good enough to play for England. That’s why the selectors drafted him in so quick,” Trescothick said.

“We all know form is temporary and he isn’t a bad player. And who knows what will happen in his next game? He may go and score 150,” he added. (ANI)
