Force leads Funny Car qualifying in Colo.
MORRISON, Colo. — John Force took the lead in Funny Car qualifying at the Mile-High Nationals on Friday night.
He clocked a run of 4.191 seconds at 296.76 mph in his Mustang heading into further qualifying on Saturday before Sunday’s eliminations.
Antron Brown led Top Fuel with a pass in 3.961 seconds at 286.19 mph.
Allen Johnson was atop Pro Stock thanks to a run of 7.020 seconds and 197.19 mph.
Leading Pro Stock Motorcycle was last week’s winner, Michael Phillips, who set a track record of 7.308 seconds at 183.12 mph.
