LONDON - New Zealand caddie Steve Williams has rubbished speculation that his relationship with American golfer Tiger Woods is under threat.

It was recently reported in the media that Woods is set to say goodbye to his longtime Auckland bagman.

“I’m sure if there was going to be some sort of parting of the ways, I’d be the first to know. From my point of view, I don’t see any chance of that happening,” The Radio Live quoted Williams as saying.

“Woods had no other plans to change the personnel around him. People speculate. He is not playing well and his results aren’t what we’re used to. Tiger and I are very good friends and we’ve been through a tough time, there’s no question about that,” he added.

World No.1 golfer Woods has failed to regain form this season after taking a self-imposed break following revelations about his marital infidelities.

Woods was linked with a new swing coach, American Sean Foley, ahead of last week’s PGA, where he was placed twenty-eighth. (ANI)
