Man United must learn from Fulham lapse to stay in title hunt, says Vidic

LONDON - Manchester United skipper Nemanja Vidic has told his teammates to learn from their mistakes if they want to keep pace with reigning Premier League champions Chelsea.
Vidic was furious with United’s defending after they surrendered a last-minute equalizer in Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Fulham.
“We had the result in our hands and with the experience we have we shouldn’t have allowed that to happen two minutes from the end,” The Sun quoted Vidic, as saying.
“We need to improve at set-pieces. There are lessons to be learned. Even if the game had finished 2-1, we would have been happy with the result, but not with the performance,” he added.
United had missed out on a record fourth successive league title last season, after Chelsea finished one point ahead of them.
Chelsea currently has 12 goals this season, nine better off than United on goal difference alone.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad will now face West Ham United at Old Trafford on Saturday. (ANI)
