A Little Warm is 7-2 favorite for Travers Stakes
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — A Little Warm has been made the 7-2 morning-line favorite over Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver for Saturday’s $1 million Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course.
A field of 11 3-year-olds was entered Wednesday, with Super Saver the 6-1 co-third choice with Afleet Express. Trappe Shot is the 4-1 second choice.
A Little Warm won the Jim Dandy on July 31 after missing the Triple Crown races. Trappe Shot won four in a row before running second in the Haskell Invitational on Aug. 1.
Super Saver ran eighth in the Preakness and fourth in the Haskell in his two races since the Derby.
A Little Warm drew the No. 4 post; Super Saver the No. 11 post.
Also entered are Miner’s Reserve, Admiral Alex, First Dude, Ice Box, Fly Down, Friend or Foe and Afleet Again.
