Mascherano Moving to Barcelona

BARCELONA (GaeaTimes.com) — Javier Mascherano is all set to join Barcelona as Liverpool has confirmed that they are selling Argentina captain to Barcelona.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgon has set a deadline for the 26 year old midfielder to switch to the Nou Camp. He told media that Mascherano will have to stick to the remaining two years contract with Anfield, in case Barcelona failed to meet the deadline by Sunday.

Earlier Javier Mascherano had been left out from the squad that won Thursday night’s 2-1 Europa League play-off in Turkey as well as from the team that suffered defeat at the the hands of Manchester City on Monday.

Reportedly, Inter Milan was also keen on signing Mascherano. But at the end Liverpool made the deal with Barca at a whopping amount of 16 million, that will see a rise of potential 22 million.
