NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — Shanon Sharpe has made up his mind to step aside his prestigious position as analyst on CBS’ pregame show ‘The NFL Today’ post the accusation of sexual assault.

Shanon Sharpe is a former American Football tight end who played for the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League.

Sharpe wants to deal with the restraining order issued against him by the court on a Georgia woman named Michele Bundy. Now, who is Michelle? Well, reportedly she happens to be Sharpe’s girlfriend. The Ex-NFL star is said to have forced the lady to have sex with him. Sharpe also is accused of threatening and stalking the woman.

When asked Sharpe refused to comment on the topic . After thinking on the matter over and over he issued a statement,

I have decided to step away from ‘The NFL Today,’ until this matter is resolved.

The CBS network’s response in this regard was,

We accept Shannon’s decision and decline to comment further on a pending legal matter.

The star have been barred from getting any closer than 200 yards of the alleged victim or her family by an order from the court last Friday. Interestingly, the other order that was issued involved an unidentified child, Michele Bundy was given the temporary custody in the order. Now who can the child be? Any guesses?

Dark times prevail the world of NFL as embarrassing incidents like the one with Ines Sainz take place and players like Chris Rainey get barred. We can only hope the scenario improves in the near future.
