GURGAON - Nalini Singh Siwach is all set to break Sharmila Nicollet’s winning streak in the Hero Honda Women’s Professional Golf Tour. Nalini, with a birdie at the start and at the finish besides three bogeys, carded a round of 73 to move to a two-round total of 147.

Sharmila has won all three events held so far on the Hero Honda Women’s Professional Golf Tour.

Nalini was four clear of Neha Tripathi (77) who was at 151. Preetinder Kaur (74) and overnight leader Saaniya Sharma (79) were tied for third at 152 and Sharmila (78) was fifth at 153.

The second day started with the sun shining strongly and the absence of breeze made it a little oppressive. Sharmila started well to be level par after the 7th hole but dropped two shots to be 2 over while coming out.

Nalini continued to play solid golf to be at one-over while coming out. She was not only striking the ball beautifully but also hitting the pin with meticulous precession.

Neha, another strong contender, seemed to be having a bit of trouble on the approach shots. She finished two-over while coming out and three over while going in and thus returned a score of 5 over for the day and 7 over in two days total.

Saaniya Sharma ended with a round of 79.

Rani Sonti from Bengaluru who was having a lot of trouble on her putts Wednesday turned in a stunning card of level par today. That was the best round of the day. She had 85 on first day. She is now sixth.
