LONDON - In a bid to save their kids from the ill-effects of having famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham have told their three sons not to listen to any “lies” about them.

Amid headlines over prostitute Irma’s claims, the doting parents decided they should speak frankly to their boys about what they might hear.

And in a highly public show of support for Becks, Victoria and 11-year-old Brooklyn, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, five, supported him on Friday night as his LA Galaxy team took on the New York Red Bulls.

“The family are showing a totally united front,” the Mirror quoted a friend as saying.

“The kids are smart and they’re now at an age where they can understand what’s going on and see the front pages of magazines and newspapers.

“Victoria and David sat them down and told them what was going on.

“They have been totally honest all the way through and explained to the boys that a lot of what is published in the magazines is not true. On this occasion, they said: ‘People have been saying some really mean things about Daddy.

“Please don’t take any notice of them, because they’re completely untrue and we know they are not true. If you hear any nasty things, they’re not true’.

“The Beckhams realise their kids are living in this weird bubble and that their parents are international stars, so they’re hardly living a normal life.

“They are dealing with this, not just as a couple, but as a family. They are a very strong unit,” added the pal. (ANI)
