Despite title setback in Singapore, Button vows to fight back

Singapore, Sept.27 (ANI): Despite seeing his title hopes suffer a setback, reigning Formula One champion has vowed to fight to the last race.
Button came a distant fourth in Singapore and dropped to fifth in the standings as Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso made it two wins in a row by holding off Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel after a pole-to-flag fight, The Sun reports.
Button is 25 points adrift of Mark Webber, who finished third and now leads Alonso by 11 points with Hamilton slumping to third in the standings with four races left.
“I am still in the title race. My championship hopes were dented a bit by Mark finishing ahead of me, but the points gap to the front is just a race victory away. It’s a very small margin and we will race until the last race,” 30-year-old Button said.
“There is everything to play for, but one bad race can cost you a lot of points,” he added.
Button and Hamilton may have just three races to stage a fight back with Bernie Ecclestone sparking fears next month’s maiden Korean Grand Prix will be called off, as the track is not ready. (ANI)
