F-1 title battle thriller heading for last-minute decider, says Red Bull boss

LONDON - Red Bull boss Christian Horner has said that Formula One’s thrilling title battle is heading for a last-minute decider.
Red Bull won last year in Japan, Brazil and Abu Dhabi - three of the four races remaining this year.
Horner said: “It is almost inevitable with the way the season has swung backwards and forwards that this will go right down to the wire. I sincerely hope it doesn’t and I sincerely hope it is one of our guys who ties it up before that.”
“But the likelihood is that with the quality of drivers and teams involved, it will go down to the wire,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.
He said: “The pace of development is so fast in F1 that we are going two seconds a lap quicker than this time last year. So it will all be about who develops the most efficiently between now and the end of the year.”
“We will be pushing very hard at each of the remaining races but just because we have won a couple of them previously does not guarantee anything. It’s reassuring but almost irrelevant,” Horner said. (ANI)
