MOHALI - Mitchell Johnson’s five-wicket haul helped Australia to restrict India to 405 at the end of the third day’s play of the first Test match being played here despite a brilliant 98 by master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

Tendulkar, who once again was out in the 90s, was well supported by Suresh Raina, who scored 86 before being adjudged leg before in Johnson’s 20th over.

The hosts resumed their overnight score of 110 for two on the third day today. Night watchman Ishant Sharma was the first Australian victim this morning before Rahul Dravid got out on 77.

Johnson claimed five wickets in his 20 over spell and gave away just 64 runs.

Australia had scored 428 in the first innings. (ANI)
