Wayne ‘will reign again’, reckons Crouch

LONDON - Peter Crouch is backing Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, to overcome his problems and fire England to glory in the clash against Montenegro next week.
Roo, 24, is battling to be fit for the Euro 2012 qualifier at Wembley on Tuesday after a torrid start to the season, blighted by injury concerns on the pitch and a sex scandal off it.
Crouch, however, believes it is only a matter of time before Rooney gets back to his best.
“Wayne doesn’t need me to tell him anything or give him any advice. He’s a top-class player and I’m sure he’ll come good this season, without a doubt. He’s a fantastic player and someone I always enjoy playing with,” The Sun quoted Crouch, as saying.
“There’s no doubt he’ll score goals and hopefully he’ll do it against Montenegro,” he added.
Crouch, who has been in sparkling form for Spurs, further said he is pleased with the way things are going on at present.
“I’m really pleased with the way things are going. Playing in the Champions League is fantastic and, hopefully, it gets you in the England manager’s eye. I think it’s gone quite well for England since the World Cup and hopefully we can continue that,” he added. (ANI)
