Button ’still very hungry’ for back-to-back F1 titles

TOKYO - Reigning Formula One champion Jenson Button insists that he has not lost his appetite for success, and is still looking for winning back-to-back titles.
Button has won just two races this year, and is fifth in the drivers’ standings with a 25-point deficit from championship leader Mark Webber.
“I am definitely still very hungry. No one since Fangio in the 1950s has won back-to-back championships in different cars. And no British driver has won back-to-back titles either. There’s lots to go for,” The Sun quoted Button, as saying.
“I’m just 25 points behind with four races to go. Last year I was leading by 14 and people were saying ‘he’s thrown it away’. You can never win,” he added.
The 30-year-old further insists that he must beat Red Bull’s Webber to a top-three place in Sunday’s Japanese Grand Prix.
“The most important thing is to get a podium and finish in front of Mark,” Button said. (ANI)
