BANGALORE - Indian cricket team’s coach Gary Kirsten has said that his team must win the upcoming Test series in South Africa to reach its greatest heights.

Kirsten’s comment came after India’s 2-0 Test series win against Australia, which has seen the team maintain its top spot in the ICC Test rankings ahead of South Africa.

“We know that to define ourselves as one of the greatest Indian Test teams ever to play the game, we have to win in South Africa, which … this team has never done before,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Kirsten, as saying.

India will visit South Africa in December for a three-Test series followed by one off Twenty20 and a five-match ODI series in January 2011.

The first Test will be played in Centurion from December 16 to 20, followed by Boxing Day Test match in Durban and third Test match in Cape town beginning January 2. (ANI)
