Man U would rather see Roo go abroad than to hated rival Man City

LONDON - Manchester United has vowed to stop Wayne Rooney from joining hated neighbours Manchester City, even as Barcelona and Chelsea are prepared to offer bids for the star striker.
City are willing to offer Rooney around 250,000-pounds-a-week - but United would rather see him go abroad or even to Chelsea than let that happen, the Sun reports.n Old Trafford insider said: “That (Rooney going over to Manchester City) would be a nightmare and we’ll do everything possible to stop it happening.”
Barca is expected to offer around 25 million pounds, whereas City could tempt debt-ridden United with considerably more. (ANI)
