MELBOURNE - Lauryn Eagle, the 22-year-old beauty queen and waterski-champion-turned-boxer, can pull off a killer smile even behind the mouthguard.

Eagle first pulled on the gloves as an alternative training method for her skiing.

She never thought it would end up being her therapy.

“My disadvantage in boxing is that I don’t know when to stop. I just keep going. Sometimes I get exhausted and I can’t get up,” the Courier Mail quoted her as saying.

“The more I boxed, the more I began to love it. I guess it’s a release for me, a coping mechanism. Challenging myself physically is like counselling. Everyone here that boxes has a reason why they’re here,” she said.

“It’s not anger management, but hitting the bag is a good feeling,” she added. (ANI)
