Record entries for National Junior Squash Championships

CHENNAI - A record 567 entries have been received for the Sub-junior and Junior National Squash Championships commencing here Monday with hosts Tamil Nadu accounting for 157 players.
There will be 10 categories in the individual events that will be followed by the Inter-State championships (Oct 29 - Nov 2) for boys and girls in the Under-15 and -19 age groups.
Heading the field are Asian junior champion Ravi Dixit and Ramit Tandon, both from Tamil Nadu (TN), in the boys under-19 category while the under-17 section has Mahesh Mangaonkar as the favourite.
In the girls under-19 category, Anaka Alankamony (TN) and Ankita Sharma (Maharashtra) have been seeded first and second while the top two girls in the under -17 section are Saumya Karki (Maharashtra) and Aparajitha Balamurukan (TN).

Boys-11: 1 Chaitanya Shah (Mah), 2 Aryan Parekh (Mah). B-13: 1 Roshan Kumarakannan (TN), 2 Solomon Ravi (TN). B-15: 1 Kush Kumar (TN), 2 Manik Dutta (MP). B-17: 1 Mahesh Mangoankar (Mah), 2 Vrishab Koitan (TN). B-19: 1 Ravi Dixit (TN), 2 Ramit Tandon (TN).
Girls-11: 1 Nikita Joshi (Mah), 2 Daksha Pathak (Mah). G-13: 1 Adya Advani (Del), 2 Aishwarya Bhattacharya (Mah). G-15: 1 Lakshya Ragvendra (TN), 2 Anandita Gupta (MP). G-17: 1 Saumya Karki (Mah), 2 Aparajitha Balamurukan (TN). G-19: 1 Anaka Alankamony (TN), 2 Ankita Sharma (Mah).
