Many important matches to be played before World Cup: Sachin Tendulkar

NEW DELHI - Playing down the hype surrounding the forthcoming World Cup, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar on Friday said that there are several key matches for the team to focus on before the global event.
“I think before that (World Cup) there are many important crickets to be played and that is our focus. Once we get closer to it (World Cup) then we will start thinking in that direction right now,” said Tendulkar.
“Obviously there are few other important matches and that is our focus. After that we will focus on big tournament, and then we will focus on (World Cup),” he added.
Tendulkar, responding to a media query, said that though he uses social networking sites but only when he feels like.
“I am not on facebook, but I do tweet but only when I feel like. I am not like others, I don’t tweet a lot, though I know that through it I can respond to my well wishers but my good wishes are always with them for all their supports and I appreciate them. But I only tweet when I feel like,” said Tendulkar.
India is going to play three Test series against New Zealand, commencing on November 4 in Ahmedabad. (ANI)
