Tandon shocks top seed Dixit for junior squash title

CHENNAI - Second seed Ramit Tandon provided the only surprise result of the day when he beat Asian junior champion Ravi Dixit in the all-Tamil Nadu boys under-19 final of the National sub-junior and junior squash championship, here Friday.
After winning a close first game, Tandon wrapped up the tie by taking the next two even as top seeded Dixit faded from the contest. Tandon won 13-11, 11-3, 11-8.
Anaka Alankamony of Tamil Nadu duly emerged junior girls champion with a straight forward win against second seeded Ankita Sharma of Maharashtra.
