Asian Games volleyball: India beat fancied Kazakhstan 3-1

GUANGZHOU - India defeated higher-ranked Kazakhstan 3-1 in the volleyball competition of the Asian Games here Sunday.

World No. 38 India got the better of 31st-ranked Kazakhstan 24-26, 25-23, 25-18, 25-21 in a Group B match at the Zhongda Gymnasium.

India face South Korea in the next group tie Monday.
