Blues mates must pull up socks if they don’t want to lose title: Terry

LONDON - Chelsea skipper John Terry has ordered his teammates to pull themselves together before they hand over the Premier League title on a plate to Manchester United or Arsenal.

Expressing concern over the club’s dramatic loss of form, Terry admitted that he could not recall a worse run of results during his 11 years in the team.

Wednesday’s 1-0 Champions League defeat in Marseille was Chelsea’s fourth loss in their last eight games, during which time they have scored a mere five goals and managed just one clean sheet, The Sun reports.

Terry said: “All the players realise that if we don’t start winning again soon then we are going to give it away to United or Arsenal.

He added: “A few weeks ago we were seven points clear at the top of the table and 20 goals ahead of most teams.

“Now we are trailing behind in third place and it’s not a nice feeling if teams are going to start pulling away from us. We’ve probably not suffered a blip like this in 11 years at the club and it’s obviously hard to take after so many years of winning week after week,” he said. (ANI)
