LONDON - Ace midfielder David Beckham will return to live and play in Britain this week.

Los Angeles Galaxy and Beckham will have to make a decision sooner rather than later on his short-term future.

There are a host of Premier League clubs ready to take him on loan as he looks to start his preparation for the 2011 Major League Soccer campaign.

The superstar has enrolled his kids Cruz (5), Romeo (8), and 11-year-old Brooklyn at a top fee-paying school.

The family is now preparing to move back into their 18 million pound Beckingham Palace in Hertfordshire after Victoria agreed to step back from her US fashion empire so that Beckham can play in England’s Premier League.

Last night a source close to Beckham claimed no deal is yet in place, The Daily Star reports.

But LA Galaxy appeared to have released the midfield ace for loan until their season resumes in March.

Tottenham lead the race to sign Beckham, but Blackburn is also in the running, with boss Steve Kean saying Becks is “on our wishlist”.

A source close to the couple said: “At first they thought it best that he move alone to the UK and rent a home near whichever club he settled for. But after a wonderful Christmas Victoria had a change of heart - she decided that it was better the family stay together.” (ANI)
