Lamy wins Seefeld nordic combined event

SEEFELD - Olympic champion Jason Lamy Chappuis won Saturday’s Nordic combined event in Seefeld, Austria to reclaim the lead in the overall World Cup standings.
The Frenchman led after the ski-jumping section with a leap of 113 metres and was never threatened in the 10-kilometre skiing section, easing to victory in a time of 25 minutes, 33.2 seconds.
Norway’s Magnus Moan finished in second spot, 29.3 seconds adrift of the winner, followed by compatriot Mikko Kokslien.
Lamy Chappuis now heads the overall standings with 559 points after 8 of 13 events, followed by Austria’s Mario Stecher on 466 and Kokslien on 447 points.
