WBA champ Amir Khan refuses to be a ‘cash-cow’ for pricey title wanabees

LONDON - British boxing ace Amir Khan has hinted that he may ditch plans to fight American boxer Lamont Peterson.
According to the Sun, talks between the WBA light-welterweight champion and Peterson have halted over the American’s demands.
Khan’s previous opponent Marcos Maidana had squeezed almost a million pounds out of Khan for his last defence in Las Vegas, three times what the Argentinian normally gets.
“Peterson is a top fighter, but why do all these guys overprice themselves?” the tabloid quoted Khan, as saying.
The 24-year-old is now reportedly turning his attention to Irishman Paul McCloskey. (ANI)
