ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Boom Boom, Pakistan’s official cricket kit suppliers, have launched a impressive new kit for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, inspired by designs submitted by amateurs and cricket fans.

It is the first time ever that the cricket kit of a major cricketing nation has been designed with the involvement and input of an average cricket fan.

Cricket fans and followers at PakPassion and Boom Boom’s designers collaborated on the new official Pakistan cricket kit.

PakPassion carried out an extensive exercise a few months ago for the global fans of Pakistan cricket to contribute their ideas on what the national cricket kit for the World Cup 2011 should look like.

The Pakistani fans’ feedback was taken fully on board, and the new Pakistan kit was inspired by designs submitted by amateur designers and cricket fans in conjunction with Boom Boom’s design team.

Pakistan start their World Cup campaign on February 23 with a match against Kenya. Their other opponents in the initial group stage are Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. (ANI)
