Smriti makes cut in Thailand golf

BANGKOK - Indias leading woman golfer Smriti Mehra shot a second round 72 and at 146, was tied 25th after the second round of the Thailand Ladies Open Golf. Mehra had a round of 74 on the first day.

All the other Indians - Sharmila Nicollet 150 (76-74), Tanya Wadhwa (77-77), Rhea Nair (82-73) and Saanya Sharma (84-74) - missed the cut.

Thailands Pornanong Phatlum (70) and South Korean Cho A-Ram (68) shared the lead after the second round at eight-under 136.

Pornanong Phatlum and Cho A-Ram have a three-stroke cushion over Round 1 leader Byun Hyun-min of South Korea and the US’s Libby Smith.
