Fabregas hints at staying at Arsenal

LONDON - Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas last night gave the club fans a glimmer of hope that he might stay.
Arsenal will have to fight off Spaniards Barcelona and Real Madrid in the summer if they are to persuade their influential skipper to carry on.
Fabregas said: “I’m showing I’m committed to this club and we want to do great things. I want to continue working to improve and help us win trophies. We are still fighting in all four competitions.”
“We want to win everything and go the farthest possible in all competitions. My future is the last thing on my mind,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.
Fabregas could well have been playing for Barcelona on Wednesday night, but coach Arsene Wenger refused to sell him last summer when the skipper asked to return to his boyhood club.
“It’s a special dream to play at the Nou Camp and, of course, I will try to enjoy it if I can. But the important thing is Arsenal go through,” Fabregas said. (ANI)
