KOLKATA - Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty Saturday said former Indian skipper Sourav Gangulys exclusion from the Twenty20 cricket’s cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) has pained him and feels that the Prince of Kolkata deserved a better treatment.
The way it has been done…There are pleasant ways of doing things. I would not like to comment on the decision of the owners. It could have been done in a better way. As far as Sourav Ganguly is concerned, I am pained, I am hurt, Mithun told reporters here.
Ganguly did not find any takers among the IPL franchises in the fresh auction held last month ahead of the fourth edition of the IPL.
The southpaw expressed disappointment over none of the franchises, including his old team Kolkata Knight Riders, showing any interest in him.
His exclusion from the fourth season of the IPL also sparked protests in West Bengal.
